The silence of the room was disrupted by the sound of Abhimaan Singh Rathore's furious pacing.
He ran his fingers through his silky locks, a clear sign of his agitation. The grand bedroom, with its luxurious decor and soft lighting, seemed too small to contain his anger.
"Why did you enter the kitchen pari, even when I told you not to?" he shouted, his voice echoing off the soundproof walls.
Paridhi Abhimaan Singh Rathore stood trembling, her eyes wide with fear. She had only wanted to help, to prove herself useful in this new household where she still felt like an outsider.
But now, standing in front of her enraged husband, she felt small and insignificant. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she struggled to find her voice.
"Ji wo-woh main..." she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper, before a sob escaped her lips.
Abhimaan's heart clenched at the sight of her tears. In that moment, the anger that had consumed him dissipated, replaced by a wave of guilt.
He had never wanted to be the cause of her pain. His eyes softened as he took in her quivering form.
"Shh, bachha. Don't cry, please. I'm sorry," he murmured, stepping forward to close the distance between them.
Gently, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a comforting embrace. Paridhi felt the warmth of his body envelop her, and despite her tears, she found a sense of solace in his arms.
Her sobs began to quieten, and she buried her face in his chest, seeking refuge from her distress.
Abhimaan held her tightly, one hand stroking her back soothingly.
"I didn't mean to scare you," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.
"I was just worried about you. The kitchen can be dangerous, you can get hurt and I don't want anything to happen to you."
Paridhi sniffled, her tears dampening his shirt.
"I just wanted to help," she said softly, her voice muffled against his chest.
"Ham aapke liye kuchh khas bnana chahte the . "
"I thought I could make something special for you."
His heart swelled with a mixture of tenderness and regret. He pulled back slightly, lifting her chin with gentle fingers so that their eyes met.
"You don't have to prove anything to me," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
"Your presence in my life is already the most special thing."
Her eyes searched his, finding nothing but honesty and affection there. A small, tentative smile tugged at her lips.
"I just want to be a good wife," she admitted, her voice barely audible.
"You are," Abhimaan said firmly, his thumb brushing away the last of her tears.
"You are more than I could have ever hoped for. And I am sorry for losing my temper."
Paridhi felt a warmth spread through her at his words. She leaned into his touch, her heart beginning to settle.
"Koi baat nhi " she whispered, placing a delicate hand on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.
I forgive you
