The silence of the room broke with the sound of Abhimaan Singh Rathore's furious pacing.
He ran his fingers through his silky hair, showing his anger.
The grand bedroom, with its luxurious decor and soft lighting, felt too small to hold his anger.
"Why did you go into the kitchen, Pari, even after I told you not to?" he shouted, his voice echoed in the soundproof walls.
Paridhi stood trembling, her eyes wide with fear. She had only wanted to help.
Now, facing her angry husband, she felt scared. Her heart raced, and she struggled to speak.
"Ji wo-woh main..." she stammered, her voice barely a whisper, before a sob escaped her lips.
Abhimaan's heart ached at the sight of her tears. In that moment, the anger that had consumed him faded, replaced by guilt.
He never wanted to cause her pain. His eyes softened as he took in her shaking form.
"Shh, bachha. Don't cry, please. I'm sorry," he murmured, stepping closer to her.
He gently wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a comforting embrace.
Paridhi felt the warmth of his body surrounding her, and despite her tears, she found comfort in his arms.
Her sobs quieted, and she buried her face in his chest.
Abhimaan held her tightly, one hand soothingly stroking her back.
"I didn't mean to scare you," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.
"I was just worried about you. The kitchen can be dangerous, and I donโt want you to get hurt."
Paridhi sniffled, her tears soaking his shirt.
"I just wanted to help," she said softly, her voice muffled against his chest.
"Ham aapke liye kuchh khas bnana chahte the."
[I thought I could make something special for you.]
"I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me, even in the little things," she continued.
His heart swelled with tenderness and regret. He pulled back slightly, lifting her chin with gentle fingers so their eyes met.
"You don't have to prove anything to me," he said sincerely.
"Your presence in my life is the most special thing."
A small smile began to form on her lips.
"I just want to be a good wife," she said, her voice barely audible.
"You are," Abhimaan replied firmly, brushing away the last of her tears.
"You are more than I could have hoped for. And I am sorry for losing my temper."
Paridhi felt warmth spread through her at his words. She leaned into his touch, her heart beginning to calm.
"Koi baat nahi," she whispered, placing a delicate hand on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.
[It's okay.]
