Punch

Third Person's Pov:-

Shreyansh paced back and forth in his room, his heart pounding with nervousness.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. It was time. He had to tell Ekaansh the truth.

He pulled out his phone and dialed his best friend's number.

Ring... ring... ring...

"Hello?" Ekaansh's voice came through the speaker.

"Aksh," Shreyansh said, his voice cracking slightly.

"Can you come up to my floor? I need to talk to you about something important."

There was a pause on the other end.

"Is everything okay?" Ekaansh asked, concern evident in his tone.

Shreyansh swallowed hard.

"Yeah, just... please come up. I'll explain everything."

"Alright, I'll be there in a minute," Ekaansh replied before hanging up.

Shreyansh put his phone down and looked over at Viaanshi, who was sitting on the edge of his bed, looking just as nervous as he felt.

"Are you sure about this?" she asked softly, her eyes wide with worry.

Shreyansh nodded.

"We have to tell him. It's not fair to keep hiding our feelings from your brother."

Viaanshi stood up and walked over to him, taking his hand in hers.

"You're right. Whatever happens, we're in this together."

A moment later, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Shreyansh called out, his voice barely above a whisper.

The door opened, and Ekaansh stepped inside. His eyes immediately fell on Shreyansh and Viaanshi's intertwined hands.

His brow furrowed in confusion.

"What's going on?" Ekaansh asked, looking back and forth between his best friend and his sister.

Shreyansh took a deep breath.

"Aksh, we need to tell you something."

Ekaansh's eyes narrowed.

"Okay..."

"Viaanshi and I..." Shreyansh started, his voice trembling. He looked at Viaanshi, who gave him an encouraging nod.

"We love each other."

The room fell silent. Ekaansh stood there, frozen, his expression unreadable. Seconds ticked by, feeling like an eternity.

Finally, Ekaansh spoke, his voice low and controlled.

"Princess, can you please go downstairs? I need to talk to Ansh alone. I'll be down in a few minutes."

Viaanshi hesitated, looking at Shreyansh with concern. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before letting go.

"It's okay," he whispered. "Go on."

With a last worried glance between her brother and her boyfriend, Viaanshi nodded and left the room. The sound of her footsteps faded as she descended the stairs.

As soon as she was gone, the tension in the room skyrocketed. Ekaansh's calm facade crumbled, replaced by a storm of emotions betrayal, and anger swirling in his eyes.

"How could you?" Ekaansh growled, his fists clenching at his sides.

Shreyansh held up his hands, trying to calm his friend.

"Aksh, let me explain-"

But before he could finish his sentence, Ekaansh's fist connected with his jaw. The force of the blow sent Shreyansh stumbling backward, pain exploding across his face.

"You backstabbing jerk!" Ekaansh shouted, advancing on Shreyansh.

"I trusted you! She's my little sister!"

Shreyansh raised his arms to protect himself as Ekaansh threw another punch, this one catching him in the jaw. He gasped, the air knocked out of him.

"Ekaansh, stop!" Shreyansh wheezed, trying to catch his breath.

But Ekaansh was beyond reason. Blinded by rage and hurt, he tackled Shreyansh to the ground. They grappled on the floor, a tangle of limbs and anger.

"How long?" Ekaansh demanded, pinning Shreyansh down.

"How long have been loving her"

Shreyansh struggled to break free, but Ekaansh's grip was like iron.

"I have loved her since the time when I didn't even know the meaning of love."

Ekaansh's fist raised, ready to strike again, but he hesitated. Something in Shreyansh's eyes the sincerity made him pause.

Taking advantage of the moment, Shreyansh continued, his words tumbling out in a rush.

Ekaansh's fist lowered slowly, his breathing heavy. He rolled off Shreyansh and sat on the floor, his back against the bed.

The fight seemed to drain out of him, replaced by a deep, aching sadness.

"I thought you were my best friend, you'd share everything with me" Ekaansh said quietly, staring at the floor.

Shreyansh sat up, wincing at the pain in his ribs.

"You're my best friend, Ekaansh. That's why you're the first one to know about it. I just proposed her and she said yes"

Shreyansh sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Love doesn't always make sense, you know? It just... happened. I tried to ignore it, to push it away. But my feelings grew stronger with time."

"And what about my feelings?" Ekaansh asked, his voice cracking.

"Did you even think about how this would affect me? She's my little sister, Shreyansh. I'm supposed to protect her."

"Every single day," Shreyansh replied, his own eyes filling with tears.

"It's been eating me up inside, Ekaansh. I've barely been able to sleep, knowing that I was falling for your sister. But Viaanshi isn't a little girl anymore. She's a strong, intelligent woman who can make her own choices."

Ekaansh was quiet for a moment, processing Shreyansh's words. Then he asked,

"Are you sure about this? It's not just some fling?"

"I've never been more sure about anything in my life," Shreyansh said firmly.

"I love her, Ekaansh. And I love you too, as my best friend. That's why we couldn't keep this from you any longer."

The room fell silent again, the tension slowly dissipating. Ekaansh stood up,iping his eyes with the back of his hand. Shreyansh followed suit, watching his friend cautiously.

"I need some time to think," Ekaansh said finally.

"This is... a lot to take in."

Shreyansh nodded.

"I understand. Take all the time you need. Just know that we never meant to hurt you. Your friendship means everything to me, Ekaansh."

Ekaansh looked at Shreyansh, really looked at him. He saw the sincerity in his friend's eyes, the guilt, and the hope. Despite the anger and hurt still swirling inside him, he felt a glimmer of understanding.

"I'm going to go talk to princess," Ekaansh said.

"Don't follow me. I'll... I'll come find you later."

Shreyansh nodded, relief washing over him. It wasn't forgiveness, not yet, but it was a start.

"Okay. Thank you for listening, Aksh."

Ekaansh turned and left the room without another word. Shreyansh sank onto his bed, his body aching from the fight, but his heart lighter for having told the truth.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Viaanshi was pacing nervously in the living room of the chamber.

When she heard footsteps on the stairs, she froze, her heart racing. Ekaansh appeared, his face a mix of emotions.

"Bhaiyu," she said softly, taking a step towards him.

"Are you okay? Where's Shrey?"

Ekaansh held up a hand, stopping her.

"He's upstairs. We need to talk, Princess."

She nodded, sitting down on the couch. Ekaansh remained standing, his posture tense.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Viaanshi's eyes filled with tears.

"I'm so sorry, bhaiyu. I didn't realize my feelings earlier."

"Don't you trust me?" Ekaansh asked, the pain evident in his voice.

Viaanshi shook her head emphatically. "No, it's not that bhaiyu. I know you've always wanted what's best for me. "

Ekaansh sighed, running a hand over his face.

"And what if it doesn't work out?" Ekaansh asked, his protective instincts flaring. "What then?"

Viaanshi took a deep breath.

"Then we'll deal with it like adults. But we can't let fear of what might happen stop us from being happy now."

Ekaansh sat down heavily in an armchair across from Viaanshi.

"I don't know how to feel about all this. Part of me wants to forbid it, to protect you both from getting hurt, but..."

"But?" Viaanshi prompted softly.

"But I can see how much you care about each other," Ekaansh admitted. "And as much as it scares me, I know Ansh. He wouldn't do this lightly. He must really love you."

Viaanshi's eyes widened in surprise.

"You're not... completely against it?"

Ekaansh gave a humorless laugh.

"Oh, I'm angry. And hurt. And confused. But... I care about both of you. I can't just ignore that, no matter how much I might want to right now."

"What does this mean, bhaiyu?" Viaanshi asked cautiously. "For all of us?"

Ekaansh was quiet for a long moment, thinking. Finally, he spoke.

"It means I need time. Time to process all of this, to figure out how I feel. "

Viaanshi felt a glimmer of hope. She sequel and hugged him making him chuckle.

"Thank you so much bhaiyu"

"Anything for your happiness princess" He whispered while caressing her hairs.
