Party

Shreyansh's Pov:-

I stood at the window, looking out. The wind blew softly, but inside me was a storm. Today, I made a tough choice that would change our lives forever.

I decided to leave her. I did it because I felt sad and sorry, trying to keep her from more pain I might cause.

With each beat of my heart, I felt the weight of the bad things I had done. Tears fell down my cheeks, a small price to pay for the hurt I had given her.

When I told Aanshi, her saying no hurt me deeply. It showed me again how I had failed her. She deserved peace, even if it meant me not being in her life anymore.

With a heavy heart, I decided I would do one last job for Aksh before going away. It would only take a month, a short time, but then our split would be final.

The future looked so empty and unsure without her by my side. But the thought of causing her more pain was too much for me.

Feeling broken, I went to the bathroom, hoping to wash away the signs of my inner fight before she could see me falling apart.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I saw a tired, lined face looking back. I knew then that this choice would bother me forever.

But for Aanshi's sake, I would carry the weight of my choice, even if it meant facing an unknown future all alone.

Viaanshi's pov:-

The office helper interrupted my thoughts. He said the boss wanted to see me. I felt uneasy.

I knew I had hurt him badly yesterday. The pain was clear in his eyes. I didn't think he would even want me near him now.

I went to his office, but it was empty.

Where was he?

His phone was on the desk, but he wasn't there. Maybe he was in the bathroom. I wasn't sure if I should wait or leave. Then his phone buzzed with a new message.

Even though I wasn't sure I looked at the screen. The name Ekansh bhaiya made me feel so many things at once.

Anger, hurt, longing.

Despite everything, I missed him so much.

The message said: "Have you told her the real truth, Ansh? What did she say? And how is she?"

The words hung there, reminding me of the secrets and unsure things around our relationship.

I didn't understand the talk I had seen, who they meant, or what truth was hidden.

Before I could think more, the bathroom door opened. Shrey came out looking like he didn't sleep at all. Dark circles under tired eyes, he seemed broken?

He signalled for me to sit. I did, hiding how I felt inside. His voice was rough with feeling when he finally spoke.

"I know words can't fix my mistakes, but I truly am sorry," he said, not letting me interrupt.

"Let me speak. I've made a big choice," Shrey said heavily.

"I will do what you want and leave you forever after this project. You won't have to put up with me in your life again.

But for now, you'll have to deal with me one more month. It's not up to me. And again, I'm so sorry. You can go."

As he spoke, my heart sank. A wave of pain swept over me. It felt like something broke inside, leaving me empty. Through the pain, I nodded okay and got up to leave for my room.

How could he decide something so big so quickly?

My heart wanted him to stay. But I couldn't let myself be treated that way. It was about self-respect.

Yet as I walked away, I hurt with wanting, wishing he was by my side. But some things, no matter how much we wish, are just not in our control.

The month was ending. Our successful project called for a party. Tonight was the celebration to mark all our hard work.

After the party, there would be a trip to Switzerland. This was to make sure everything went smoothly. But there was a sad part to the celebration.

That Shrey would not join us. At the end of the party, he would leave for New York. He would be gone from my life forever.

The thought of him leaving made my heart heavy. It made the idea of the party ending almost too much to bear.

Despite my worries about the future, I pushed them aside. I got dressed up in a black one-piece dress. I let my hair hang free, using just one pin to hold it back. I put on a diamond set, a special gift from my brother. Wearing it brought back memories of when we were young.

When we were just kids, my brothers saved their money to buy me this set. They did it to show their love, though they were only twelve years old at the time.

With help from dada and papa, they managed to create this precious gift that means so much to me. It reminds me of the things they gave up out of love.

As I looked at myself in the mirror, the diamonds shining, I couldn't help but feel a bit sad. Shrey not being at the party would always remind me of what I had lost.

I stepped out of the apartment building. Right away, I saw a fancy black big car parked at the side of the road. A few moments later, Shrey got out of the car.

He looked very handsome in his black fancy suit. His hair was perfectly done. It made him look very smart and perfect.

I felt embarrassed when I realized Shrey had caught me looking at him. I met his eyes and saw a little smile on his lips. My cheeks turned very red. I cleared my throat awkwardly and looked away, feeling shy.

Ignoring how uncomfortable I felt, Shrey spoke softly.

"Come," he said gently, waving me over.

"I can go on my own," I said back. My voice showed I wasn't comfortable.

"Please, don't argue today, Aanshi. This is our last day together. Tomorrow, I won't be with you anymore. Please," he said. His voice sounded sad.

I nodded without saying anything and got into the car. During the ride, Shrey kept looking at me.

But I pretended to be interested in what was outside, not looking at him. When we got to the party place, I got out.

I was surprised to see no paparazzi waiting for us. I looked back at Shrey and saw his comforting smile. He had clearly made sure we had privacy.

I quickly went inside and was greeted by my excited friends. Arohi said nice things about me, making me blush. Rahul made a joke that made the whole group laugh.

"You look beautiful, darling," Arohi said happily.

"That dress looks really good on you."

My cheeks got even redder.

"You're looking gorgeous too," I said shyly.

"Seriously Aashu You look really amazing! If I were a guy, I'd marry you right now," Arohi said loudly.

Rahul joined in with a mischievous smile,

"Are you sure you don't like girls, Arohi? "

Arohi said back,

"Oh, be quiet, you idiot. We didn't ask what you think," making him pout and pretend to cry, which made the group laugh.

Rahul smiled naughtily.

"If looks could kill, eh Aanshi? Nearly set the car on fire with how hot you looked!"

The others laughed a lot as I hit his arm lightly.

"Oh, stop it!"

Just then the host's voice cut through the talking, making everyone listen.

Third Person's Pov:-

Everyone looked at the host as he spoke,

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight, we celebrate the success of our company's most important project, which shows how hard our workers have worked. So, let's enjoy the party."

People cheered, but Shreyansh couldn't stop looking at Viaanshi. She looked amazing in her black dress.

But he felt sad, knowing he had to leave her today as he promised. He really wished time could stop. Suddenly, someone spoke up.

"So, anyone who wants to perform, the stage is yours tonight," said the host.

Viaanshi looked confused as Shreyansh went to the stage, wondering what he was going to do.

Once on stage, Shreyansh sat in the middle. A microphone was put in front of him, and he was given a guitar. Speaking into the mic, he looked at Viaanshi.

"Tonight, I'll sing a song for the most special person in my life. Someone who has been, is, and always will be dear to me," he said with feeling.

People whispered, curious, but they respected Shreyansh's privacy.

They knew he liked to keep some things to himself. They decided to just enjoy the moment.

"This is for you, my love," Shreyansh said, his voice breaking.

As he began to sing, his voice filled the room. Everyone was amazed, seeing this side of him for the first time.

With each note, he showed his heart, looking only at Viaanshi.

The words spoke of love that lasts forever, of enjoying every moment together.

Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhoolna
Koi tere khaatir hai jee raha
Jaaye tu kahin bhi ye sochna
Koi tere khatir hai jee raha
Tu jahaan jaaye mehfooz ho
Dil mera maange bas ye duaa

Shreyansh's eyes glistened with tears, shimmering in the dim light, but their presence went unnoticed by everyone except Viaanshi, who keenly observed him.

Tears welled in her eyes as she listened to him, flowing freely as he continued to sing.

Humdard hai, humdum bhi hai
Tu saath hai to zindagi
Tu jo kabhi door rahe
Ye humse ho jaaye ajnabi
Tujhse mohabbat karte hain jo
Kaise karein hum usko bayaan

Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhulna
Koi teri khatir hai jee raha
Jaaye tu kahin, bhi ye sochna
Koi tere khatir hai jee rahaa
Jaagi bhi hain royi bhi hain
Aankhein ye raaton mein meri
Kyun har ghadi mil ke tujhe
Lagti rahe bas teri kami
Hum to na samjhe tum hi kaho
Kyun tum ko paa ke tum se juda

Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhoolna
Koi teri khatir hai jee raha
Jaaye tu kahin, bhi ye sochna
Koi tere khaatir hai jee raha

When the song ended, everyone was quiet for a moment. Then loud clapping started. As the clapping filled the room, Shreyansh's heartfelt singing touched everyone there.

Viaanshi wiped away tears as she felt very emotional. Without thinking, she ran away from the scene, her heart troubled.

Seeing Viaanshi leave suddenly, Shreyansh followed her right away, looking worried.

Without them knowing, someone in the crowd was very angry, looking at them with hate as they watched what was happening.
